The El Paso Chorus Group Entertaining Us

It was a fun meeting today as the El Paso Chorus group started us off with some cheerful Christmas music, then onto a powerful presentation about the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day by General Bill Riley. Thank you to all for a fantastic meeting.

Club Meeting - December 5, 2011

 Sofia Fernandez was our guest speaker today. She talked about her time as a Youth Exchange student in Denmark. Her presentation was excellent and everyone commented about her vest. Thank you for a job well done.

Hanksgiving (Interact Event)

The annual Hanksgiving at Hanks High School was held on:
Saturday 19 at 9 am
Sunday 20 at 10 am
Monday at 10 am
Tuesday at 8 am
Our club (RCWEP) donated $100 worth of turkeys toward the event.

Club Meeting - October 24, 2011

 District Governor Bobby Wallace visited our club today. He first attended our Board meeting then gave an inspiring, passionate speech to our club members at the regular meeting. He challenged us to grow the membership; meet the Foundation goals and participate in both the Rotary Club Blood Drive and the District Governors weight loss program.

Club member / Professor David LeMone is caught on film discussing things with our guest speaker today - Gil Blancas, Director of Business Development at UMC (University Medical Center). Gil talked about services offered for adult and geriatric care at UMC. He also brought us all up-to-date with a Powerpoint slide presentation on UMC

Club Meeting - October 10, 2011

Our guest speaker today was Larry Duncan, CEO at the Children’s Hospital at University Medical Center. Mr. Duncan updated us on the progress with the Children’s Hospital, as well as introduced us to some of the key management staff at the operation.

Jim Valenti, CEO of University Medical Center, was our guest speaker at our October 3 meeting. Among other things, he addressed the request by the Hospital for a tax increase as a result of the decrease in State funding.
