Club Meeting - October 24, 2011

 District Governor Bobby Wallace visited our club today. He first attended our Board meeting then gave an inspiring, passionate speech to our club members at the regular meeting. He challenged us to grow the membership; meet the Foundation goals and participate in both the Rotary Club Blood Drive and the District Governors weight loss program.

Gil talked about services offered for adult and geriatric care at UMC. He also brought us all up-to-date with a Powerpoint slide presentation on UMC

Our guest speaker today was Larry Duncan, CEO at the Children’s Hospital at University Medical Center. Mr. Duncan updated us on the progress with the Children’s Hospital, as well as introduced us to some of the key management staff at the operation.

Club Meeting - October 3, 2011

Jim Valenti, CEO of University Medical Center, was our guest speaker at our October 3 meeting. Among other things, he addressed the request by the Hospital for a tax increase as a result of the decrease in State funding.
