Club Meeting - February 27, 2012

There was a lot going on at today's meeting. Youth Exchange student Alexander Domino started it off by telling the Club a little more about himself and his background, and inviting Club members to participate in two upcoming fundraisers for his school and golf team.

 We were honored to have District Governor Bobby Wallace join us at today's meeting. He presented Club member Bob Peterson with another Paul Harris Fellow award









 Another  highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a check for $21,000 to the Child Advocacy Center of El Paso. This money was presented on behalf of the Rotary Club of West El Paso, the East El Paso, the Northeast Club, the downtown Club, and the Cuidad Juarez Rotary Club, by Grant Director Chava Gonzalez, to Susan Oliva, Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center. The Club members were then educated by the presentation of Happy Bear and his training facilitator.

We had a very informative meeting today, as two executives from the City of El Paso's Economic Development Department (Pancho Mangan & David Samaniego) shared information about El Paso's current and future economic plans.
