GEAR Training Meeting - January 21, 2012

 We had a very productive training session this morning at the office of United Blood Services, hosted by President David Veloz, for new members Sawyer Sykes and Damon Crossland. The GEAR (Get Excited About Rotary) meeting began at 9:00am with David  who gave a brief overview of the RI website and a feature on it "Rotary Timeline," Gerri Wootten then presented information on the Rotary Foundation and Paul Harris membership information, followed by Sandy Boswell on Club Services; Chava Gonzalez on International Services/Matching Grants; then Russell Autry on Literacy; Francis Reyes about the duties of Secretary and she spoke about New Generations
on behalf of Director Gail Gale. Carey Beamesderfer then spoke about the club in general. The training session closed with Lorraine Huit's presentation on Youth Exchange.
